The Account Aggregator Excellence Awards recognise organisations that are turning the promise of consent-based financial data sharing into meaningful adoption, innovative solutions and measurable impact. These awards celebrate the organisations that are going beyond experimentation to build and scale solutions that create better outcomes for customers, financial institutions and the broader financial ecosystem.
From enabling greater access to credit and insurance to building innovative data-driven solutions, strengthening the FIP ecosystem and advancing the Account Aggregator (AA) framework, the awards shine a spotlight on the organisations writing India’s next chapter in financial innovation.

Who can participate?

The awards are open to organisations across the AA ecosystem:
  • Financial Information Users (FIUs)
  • Financial Information Providers (FIPs)
  • Account Aggregators (AAs)

The awards

The awards recognise excellence across seven ecosystem segments, with individual awards celebrating leadership in specific areas of adoption, innovation and impact.

Eligibility criteria

Category Award Evaluation Metrics Submission Requirement
FIU –Lending AA Excellence – Credit Inclusion % of NTC sourcing cases via AA out of total NTC sourcing volume. FIU needs to share the % of NTC sourcing cases via AA out of total NTC sourcing volume.
Note: Data required for 15-month window: June 2026 – August 2027.
FIU –Lending AA Excellence – Gender Inclusive Credit % of total lending to women borrowers that is sourced/funded using AA data. FIUs need to share the percentage of lending to women borrowers that was funded using AA data, as a proportion of their overall lending volume to women borrowers.
Note: Data required for 15-month window: June 2026 – August 2027.
FIU – Lending AA Excellence – Business Loans % of total Business Loan (BL) disbursements sourced using AA data. FIUs needs to share the % penetration of AA-sourced loans in the BL category out of overall lending volume.

FIU – Lending AA Excellence – Home Loans % of total Home Loan (HL) disbursements sourced using AA data. FIUs needs to share the % penetration of AA-sourced loans in the HL category out of overall lending volume.

Account aggregator AA Application of the year
  1. Functionalities offered by the AA app

AAs are requested to submit Latest Figma Screen or recorded video of the current live journey covering functionalities and UI and UX. A note on security features implemented by AA and also covering current rating on Play Store and App Store.
FIU – Insurance AA Early Adopter – Insurance Category % of total insurance policies issued during the period that were sourced using AA data. FIUs needs to share the % insurance policies issued using AA out of total customers.
Note: Data required for 15-month window: June 2026 – August 2027.
FIU – Insurance AA Excellence – Use Case Leader in Insurance Number of distinct AA use cases implemented and actively in use. FIUs are required to share details of AA use cases that are live and proposed to go live.
FIU – RIA AA customer Choice Award
  1. No. of active AA customers
  2. Average time spent by customer
  3. App-store rating
  4. AA consent renewal rate
  5. UI/UX as per best practices for AA journey
As of June 2026, we need the following inputs from FIUs:

  5. Share a video or Figma showcasing the current implemented journey
FIU – Lending AA Early Adopter – Microfinance % of total microfinance customer base sourced using AA data. FIUs needs to share % penetration of AA-sourced customers out of total loans by a microfinance company.
Note: Data required for 15-month window: June 2026 – August 2027.
FIU – Lending AA Early Adopter – Gold Loan % of total Gold Loan customer base sourced using AA data. FIUs needs to share % penetration of AA-sourced customers by a Gold Loan lender out of overall volume of loans sourced.
Note: Data required for 15-month window: June 2026 – August 2027.
FIP – Banking AA Champion - FIP Banking Category Consistency — success rate across 2026, with a minimum industry-traffic threshold.
Scale — contribution to industry traffic.
Coverage — types of accounts enabled.
Responsiveness — turnaround time for resolving ecosystem issues.
Interoperability — number of AAs with which the FIP is operational.
Penetration — % of eligible customer accounts serviced through AA.

How winners are selected

Winners will be selected from organisations that submit a nomination during the submission window.
Each entry will be evaluated against the published criteria for its award category. Winners will be determined based on the evidence and data submitted as part of the nomination.
This is an awards programme recognising excellence among participating nominees and is not intended to constitute a ranking of every eligible organisation in the market.
All submitted data must be accurate and accompanied by a signed declaration confirming its accuracy.
