About the AA ecosystem
The Account Aggregator (AA) ecosystem is reshaping financial data sharing in India by putting the customer at the centre of the process. Built on a secure, consent-led, and interoperable framework, AA enables individuals and businesses to share their financial information digitally with trusted institutions in a safe, transparent, and purpose-linked manner.
What began in 2021 with just eight participants has now grown into a scalable, cross-sectoral network of 1,090 Financial Institutions across banking, NBFCs, insurance, and capital markets. As the only cross-sectoral open finance network in India, AA is enabling seamless data sharing across the financial services ecosystem while preserving user control and consent at every step.
As AA continues to mature as foundational financial infrastructure, its role is expanding beyond lending to support broader customer use cases across personal finance, wealth, insurance, risk assessment, and financial inclusion, reinforcing its position as a key pillar of India’s Digital Public Infrastructure.
